Bloody Ground Story

Bloody Ground was a Pop Music group that toured in the Paris region and in the North of France in the 70’s.

Bloody Ground performed on stage songs from the great Pop groups of the time : Beatles, Rolling Stones, Who, AC/DC, Status Quo, Dr Feelgood, … as well as songs of their composition.

On stage

For rehearsals, Bloody Ground had rented an old barrier house in Chantilly forest, on the edge of the Paris-Lille railway line. This allowed them to avoid neighborhood troubles that excess of decibels could have caused late at night!

After hard work!

Finally, the group split up in the early 1980’s.

After a professional career as an electronics and software engineer, Jacques, the singer of the group, found himself retired and decided to reconnect with music and devote part of his free time to studying modern sound techniques and setting up his home studio.

After 2 years of self-training, Jacques managed to release his first single Wooden Bridge in 2023 under the name Bloody Ground in tribute to his former group.

For this song, Jacques played all of the roles of musical production: author, composer, performer, sound engineer, mixing and mastering.

In 2024, Jacques released Away, which is a song initially composed by Bloody Ground, rearranged with modern sounds.

In 2025, Jacques released Baby Girl, a song written for his daughter in which every dad can find himself and express his pride.
